I want to believe in magic, Santa, wizards (not Potty Harry tho) and that everything has a porpoise. I also want to believe the magic that is “Air Source” heating systems actually work by extracting heat from the air and transfer it through the wizardry of science into heat internally, but I’m no idiot. How do you extract heat from outside at -3 degrees to heat up your house, it is not physically possible if the house is running at +20. Somehow I think there is a better chance of seeing a Fatman in a suit skimming across the planet in one night.

So it only took around 2hrs to travel 5 miles, no grit truck, no updates on the radio and a moronic message on the council website “drive safe”!!!!

Yup only 28 days to Christmas, so in between emptying house move boxes we managed to get the first tree up and place some Christmas lights outside.

Internet connectivity, the yoof of today wouldn’t even know of a time when connection meant a black box plugged into your telephone line (so you couldn’t make of receive calls), listening to the squealing handshake to achieve a massive 56k at best.

In the the non-flooding canal area which had nothing originally (we invested in satellite broadband which was really cool unless it rained, was sunny or snowed and if a pigeon landed on the LMB it would explode) and then Fibre to The Cab arrives with 60Mb downloads. And then we moved! Now here we are and mr monolithic telecoms provider can offer 2Mb, really.

After much searching and argh bargy, we found a different provider who accepted the order, dug up the road, laid new cables and sent a grumpy ole fella to plug in a router “I have to do this, it’s my job and I hate it”.

And yes, we are back!!!!!! Porn never looked so good.

This is the second year we have been to the York Maze Hallowscreem and it just gets better. Five Horror houses, with actors hidden, whose sole purpose is to scare you. This is starting to become an awesome tradition.
