Now that’s what you call a wholesome healthy meal.
Dublin airport 7.30pm!

About 18 months ago we had a leak from the main bathroom shower. Mrs Fogg got a plumber to repair it, but it left a ruddy great hole in the wall. The best advice we got was to replace the entire wall, yeh right. Affirmative action time (well after 18 months anyway) and we decided to do it ourselves. How hard could it be?
Total price to fix £30. How smug are we!

Ok so I’m a geek. I’ve had hours of fun since Christmas building a 3D Game of Thrones jigsaw, complete (of course!) with 4D models of all the castles and teeny labels so you can tell what they are.
My geekism has achieved new heights, much to the dismay of Mr Fogg!

What do you do to entertain people when it’s cold and wintery? Mrs Fogg scoured the usual type of boring museum things, railway museum (yawn), castle museum (yawn), air museum (s’alright but it is really cold), until she stumbled on the ultimate “York chocolate experience”. This is where you find out the history of chocolate making in York, put across in a very innovative way that even this Neanderthal enjoyed. On top of all that you get to sample chocolate all the way through and then make your own chocolate lolly.
Quite cool and will be visited by more friends when they come to stay.

Well after 3 days of persistent rain we finally had sunshine and a chance for a womble. Wellies on and the 2.5 mile hike to Hagg Bridge, first stop let’s see the level of the canal

Well it is under there somewhere
And then Hagg Bridge, meets the canal
So it is true, canals do flood.
