Leaving on a Jet Plane

image1414983726.jpgAnd as the Florida holiday draws to an end we look so happy at leaving 90+ degrees of heat, constant sunshine, long days, eating round the clock and really enjoying ourselves. Oh no wait, we don’t want to leave, boo hoo!

As with every trip since I met Mrs Fogg, it has been amazing sharing experiences with such a fantastic and wonderful woman (soppy I know, but you just know when you have found the perfect partner, friend, wife and love).

Cold, horrible and damp England here we come.

We didn’t want to leave here.

Target Practice

image1946390288.jpgAnd here is a proud Mrs Foggy with her target from the Shooting Gallery and as you can see after 25 rounds she managed to hit the paper at the top at least.

Now I know she will kill me for this blog but it is worth it for a chuckle and to make matters worse I whooped her at Pirate ship crazy golf!

So today we went to the oh so packed Blizzard Beach at 45$ a head, good grief, nut we did have fun on the slusher gusher, lazing in the acre pool and 2 trips on the family rubber ring.

Tomorrow is the last day here, boo hoo and then we start the trip back at 6pm US time on Sat arriving home somewhere around midday on Sunday. Oh well party time now then.

Tonight we will spend the evening frollicking in the pool with a glass of champoo.

Do you feel lucky Punk?

image379003082.jpgSo today we decided to have a go on a shooting range with Dirty Harrys weapon of choice, a 357 Magnum. Hoo Yaa

Whilst in there you can shoot at a target of your choice, blank or Osama (oh what a surprise). So Mrs Foggy and me took it in turn on the hand gun with 50 rounds of live ammo. We is real tough cookies now!

Pick Yer Own

image1400619413.jpgWell another day in paradise and a whopping 95 degrees. A simple day for us trying to avoid burning severely in this high heat. Caught two movies Land of the Lost (absolute pap) and the Hangover which was absolutely brilliant.

We topped off the day with a simple fare at Rainforest Cafe and now back to chill while watching lightning.

A big hi to Stu & Jen, looking forward to catching up when we get back and also to the Barty Clan, looking forward to rounders (the fish tank picture is just for you)

Dwunk

image2139642846.jpgAnd here we have Mr Fogg, generally found near or around alcohol, considered harmless unless tipsey on Sangria laced with Vodka. In it’s current habitat “the Mr Fogg” can be seen giggling madly whilst slurring at the locals with a mock American accent that sounds more like some strangled cat.

Shortly due a long nap, the Mr Fogg will be heading back to it’s natural habitat of the nearest comfy big bed complete with TV remote gadgets and more than likely continuing to giggle until the early hours.

On occasion the Mr Fogg can be heard grumbling about his American cousins and their driving habits, their lack of the grasp of sarcasm and general over indulgence on calories.

Competition Time – What the Hell is it?

image1619314933.jpgSo last night Mrs Foggy and I went to O.C White for a wonderful meal with Mr Attentive the waiter (see the previous blog). The toss up was there or Santa Maria on the Marina, so today we went to Santa Maria for lunch and my gosh did it suck.

The place is horrible, the food is microwaved and the thing in the picture is called a “hushpuppie”, it tastes of old mans socks, with bits of toe cheese thrown in, three pepsies and two packs of mints later and I can still taste it.

There are some rare gems in St Augustine and this is not one of them!

Great Weather for Ducks

image498977120.jpgHmm, sunny St Augustine, or it was at about 4pm until the heavens opened and now there is an almighty thunderstorm, torrential rain, black skies, oh and a brace of ducks waddling across the car park. So, the plan was to put on the glad rags and go back into the centre of St Augustine for dinner at a beautiful outside restaurant. New plan- dinner inside watching said thunderstorm. If you look carefully at the pic you can see the ducks.

Watch the Sunrise

image434824801.jpgSo here is the view from the Holiday Inn on St Augustine Beach and we hope to watch the sun rise tomorrow morning. So whilst you lucky people will have already been up and working for a good hour or so, we will have just woken and will be sat on the east coast of Florida huddled together shivering and watching the first rays of sunlight hitting the US of A

St. Augustine Road Trip

image224518810.jpgSo we got up nice and early this am, well 9ish, and headed up the I-4 to St Augustine.

We visited this pretty little town on our road trip in 2005 so decided to revisit this time and stop at the Holiday Inn on the beach tonight before heading to Kennedy Space Centre tomorrow.

A very nice place indeed and if you ever have the chance then do stop here.
