More Rides Than You Can Shake a Stick At

Ok, the rundown is this:

1. Tiny Hogfarts ride, very tame and extremely lame
2. Duelling Dragons Blue Dragon, fast, upside down and feet dangling. slightly tingly on this one
2. Duelling Dragons Red Dragon, faster more upside down with feet dangling. Bit of a buzz
3. Harry Potter 3D ride, cleverly done with sense fooling video and motion. Impressive quality made you feel like you were flying. ‘Twas ok
4. King Kong 3D ride, excellent concept taken to the next level with 360 degree 3D simulation, hydraulics and story where you really felt immersed. Very good.
5. Spider-Man 3D, another simulation with the same concept as Harry Potter, but again cleverly done. Good, but not King of the Kongs
6. Dr Seuss Cat in the Hat, why oh why!
7. Kiddies Merry go round, now we are just getting silly
8. Log Flume, but of a drubbing but a real scream
8. Popeye and Blutos Bilge-Rat Barges, a complete and utter drubbing, soaked head to toe and all the way to your undies, but FUN
9. Jurassic adventure, Dull
10. The Hulk, g-force induced roller coaster that rocks. This one left Kevin so terrified she couldn’t speak properly for hours after. I wanted a second go but they closed it for the storm.

A good days fun, followed by a heavy thunderstorm adding to our overall drenched demeanour.

Topped off with a trip to Bubba Gumps for shrimp.

Tomorrow then it’s off to Keneddy Space Centre and St.Augustine.

Hogfarts

Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is the order of the day, complete with the other side of Hogfarts from Barry Trotter the Wizard. And then onto Jurassic Park with some kick ass Rollercoasters along the way

Must be Winter

Cos the Knights are getting darker, here all week thank you!

Another fantastically hammy American version of medieval times at Medieval Times, where you cheer for your actor, sorry Knight to battle for the hand of the “fair maiden” (you need an awesome imagination there), whilst eating soup, chicken, potato and corn on the cob with ya fingers.

Kevin managed to catch the flower thrown by our knight, much to the annoyance of Mrs Fogg who no doubt will replace Kevin’s contact lens solution for deep heat in the night.

Airboats, Cheesecake and Knights

Yet another fun packed day, after the Speshul Olimpiks Crew dried off, we headed up for an airboat ride into the glades which was oh so cool, checkout the cyberman fashion headgear

Checkout Mrs Fogg’s new handbag

Kev’s obviously wondering what gator burger tastes like by that look

Then off to the Mall at Millenia for the Cheesecake Factory

Next stop is Medieval Times and a spot of fake jousting, where all your food must be eaten with fingers only and mead is the order of the day (sorry Pepsi)

Speshul Olimpiks

In the real olympics you have 5 interlaced rings, in the Speshul Olimpiks you have a rubber ring and 3 floatations devices.

And today’s contestants for the Speshul Olimpiks in synchronised armband and float wearing goes to (and you can guarantee they’ll never have this event, since the only requirement is to look silly and see how many laps of the pool you can do without giggling):

Disney Wombling

An evening of taking in the sights of downtown Disney (sorry, renamed to Disney Springs).

The hunt for a parking space, the hunt for food amongst the plethora of eateries (eventually settling for the Rainforest Cafe by the waterfront) and a chance to wander under starlit skies and 22 degrees of heat.

All Things Gator

Another fun day this time at Gatorland

With everything Gator and Croc

Gator feeding where Kevin got to go into the enclosure to feed the beasts

We also got to do the zip wire experience, travelling up to 35mph, 60ft above alligators and crocs, that was sooooo cool.

Last stop the dinky train around the enclosure for a weary bunch (so this was a little pants).

Wizards, Rollercoasters and Rides

The trip today saw the crew head over to Universal Studios for the day.

Every major attraction undertaken and we were exhausted at the end of it:

Terminator
Men in Black
Minions
Shrek
Blues Brothers
Trqnsformers
Oh and Harry Potter

Food was monster turkey legs

And a must see for all weird Harry Potter fans is the movie set mockup of weirdsville, complete with people with wands and capes

Then on to attempt the Rocket, which is quite simply AWESUM with its straight up climb and knuckle ride which had Kevin screaming like a banshee and me reciting every expletive ever invented. So bad we just had to do it one more time

Crazy Golf and Clowns

A glorious day, started off with yours truly wiping the floor with Kevin and Mrs Fogg at Crazy Golf America style

Off to Celebration for lunch, a womble and chance to cool the tootsies

And then to downtown Disney for a spectacle like no other La Nouba, the only downside was the clowns (goodness knows why anyone finds them funny). Kevin looked in awe at the cirque de soleil, which is quite simply breathtaking.

The day was finished with a stroll through downtown Disney before heading back for a dip in the pool. A good but tiring day.

Tomorrow Universal Studios

Lobster and Monsters

A gentle get to know Florida day, saw us find a Harley dealer (yey), a monster truck

The Florida Chocolate experience, where we were the only visitors and were forced to watch a silly cartoon before we could sample bits, whilst Kevin made a bar and had to wait for it to come out on meat hooks for delivery

Time then for Lobster and a chance for Kevin and Mrs Fogg to cover half the restaurant in shrapnel

And finishing off in the Florida Mall for MandMs, oh and Kevin building her own “buildabear” called Gator (how old!)

And today, crazy golf on a pirate ship, followed by Cirque de Soleil, La Nouba.
