The lesser known poodle wearing gimp foot has at last been spotted in my garden.
This is what happens when she paints a room!
Last night of the hot tub and the conclusion of the meteor shower saw Mrs Fogg and I in the tub staring at the sky watching the ISS, counting satellites, seeing 8 meteor trails and then one extremely bright fragment drop to the ground somewhere down the lane.
Having seen Twilight Zone and the Blob, I think I’ll not be hunting for it and prodding it with a stick any time soon.
Cool light show though.
During our Pleides Meteor shower watching we happened upon an object travelling very fast in a North Westerly direction, was it a bird, was it a plane, err nope it was the ISS.
Having seen it again tonight while in the tub, Mrs Fogg checked its trajectory to confirm it was actually the ISS travelling over York at 22.12 and 23.59, moving at a whopping 17,500 mph.
Beam me up Scotty
Welcome to the annual Foggy Perseides Fancy dress bash. This years theme was cartoon characters and in true style everyone got into the spirit with all manner of costumes (2 lots of Fred Flinstone, Barney Rubble, Wilma, Hong Kong Phooey, Mickey Mouse, Batman and Perry the Platypus, nope never heard of that one either). The prize this year went to the Barty crew and Charlie Veggie Pup who confessed to forgetting to put eye holes in her platypus outfit (dowp!), what did they win? An oversized rubber duck called Bwian.
All then wombled to the canal where one local even refused to make eye contact with the weirdos in costume.
A day of food, alcoholic beverage, hot tubbin, more food, silly games and a totally unrehearsed North South production of The Life of Brian Cox!
Lastly Marshmellow and hot chocolate dipping before nightfall and hopefully a chance to see a meteor shower.
Well a full fun packed day, up, brekky, out to see the Moulin Rouge (hey sister, soul sister) and then up to Sacre Coeur in baking 32 degree heat and clear skies. Pickpockets with their latest tricks spotted by Mrs Fogg, sketch artists screwing our American cousins over Euros for drawings that unless I’m mistaken means everyone looks like Patrick Swayze or Tina Turner?
Incredible views and of course grub with mussels, oh yum, before a final womble then a taxi to the airport, chaotic service onboard jetpoo and then back to cloudy skies and rain, boo.
A lovely weekend and a chance to introduce the folks to that there France, ah I love it dearly and can’t wait to visit it again!
The highlight has to be lunch on the Seine with the Folks completely plastered and having lots of fun. And Mrs Hulk foot walking better now, hurrah.
Happy Birthday TurfGal.
