Not the Norm

Well apparently the seasonal norm for Carcassonne is a paltry 24 to 26 degrees. If only.

It’s just starting to cool a little here at 3pm, so aircon is running at a much needed ice cube mode

We did a little wander around but decided to head back until it starts to cool down around 8pm when it will drop to 31 degrees

But you have to keep your strength up in this heat

Carcassonne j’arrive

Bonjour from the beautiful city of Carcassonne and yet again Mrs Fogg has excelled herself by finding an awesome AirBnB for 5 nights at the same cost of one night in one of the many up market hotels.

A two hour bucket class flight, a 20 minute bus ride and tada we are all set. Aircon as well (ha ha suffer the heat in the UK!).

And now a hunt for food, my favourite is the local dish of cassoulet.

And the view from the terrace is something else

And one of our fave little restaurants

And cassoulets

Frying Pan to Fire

As England sizzles in 30+ degree heat, here we are sat in a sweaty airport waiting to escape the intense heat for, err somewhere hotter in the south of France which is close to the 40+ degrees.

Kicking it all off with a little tipple in one of the extremely over priced lounges.
