Welcome to Largs and our 27ft home for 2 weeks

Well a restless night in Carlisle but nice evening meal. Awesome brekky and now on the way after a womble round a garden centre Christmas display

And of course the border

Not forgetting of course our ever so helpful midge tracker utility Smidge Up!
Of our holiday. Bliss!

It’s here, it’s built and it’s now painted and the first phase electrics are in. Next up, flooring, insulation and cladding and then the second stage electrics.
Welcome to the Fogg’s BodyShop

So a year in the making, a sharp frost and strong winds has left Mrs Fogg with the fruit of her labour, one solitary pear. With cream after our tea!

We are firmly in our grey period. After a tiring Sunday cutting all the hedges and deflowering borders, Monday was spent painting the veranda, Mrs Fogg on the “delicate, you need a trained eye to not hit the wall, Perspex, window, patio, cars” (how well did that work) and yours truly on the splash it on pillars.
End result, two very tired donkeys and a nice look to spruce up the veranda

And pretty much on their own! Yes it is the end of an era, these shoes have hiked the US, down the Grand Canyon 3 times, across Europe, up Mont Blanc, across Scotland and Wales. But now it’s time to retire them after more than 16years, they wreak beyond belief. For the last 8 years I have used them in the garden, but they really really do walk on their own

Goodbye my stinky old friends.
When the dandelions are getting taller than you

Ok so it is actually Mrs Fogg’s sunflowers currently racking in at a superb 6ft 3in and still no sign of stopping. And Jack had to sell his cow for his beanstalks!
Well it’s the end of our week off and what a great rest. Time to chill again with the fire pit and our new little fountain too.
Shame it’s a bit cold tonight and rather windy!
