Yo Chrimbo

So that’s it for another year, boo! But what an awesome Christmas, we visited the Barty’s on the weekend before the big day and a chance to catch-up and chill.

Christmas Eve saw the Folks join us at the Star for a drink or seven and then off to wait for the big fella with the rather full sack.

Christmas Day I had to wait from 4am for everyone to get up some 4 hours later. Prezzies over, on then for a slap up turkey dinner.

All told a rather pleasant and relaxing time.

Waiting for the next one now

And one of my gifts from the Mrs was a Survivalist fire starter kit, so what better way to use it than get a roaring fire going

And we have now christened to Log Cabin with its own sign

Next stop New Years Eve when we will have The Caddies and The Treasure-Smiths joining us for a 5 course taster meal at the Star (and no doubt falling down liquid). Mr Caddie is even bringing some of his monster fireworks to set off in the field (full precautions will be taken and supervision by suitably trained adults).

Have a Happy New Year all and remember, only 362 days to Christmas!

The 42nd Street

Considering we started the day at 5am, here were we all seated and ready to watch 42nd Street live on stage.

A wander around Covent Garden and then the show which I have to say was absolutely amazing, well worth a visit.

And today a chance to Wimbledon some Christmas markets on the South Bank before we head back home.

That There Nodnol

And for anniversaries this year (the folks and ourselves), we’ve decided to bring the folkies to that there nodnoL to travel on the British Belmond Pullman. This is a journey into the Surrey, Kent countryside in a train from the bygone era, including a 5 course menu on the way.

Fun, food, laughter and falling down water was enjoyed by all (and yes someone needed a snooze after her food).

It’s Ho-Ho-Hofficial

Christmas is a coming and the twinkle light fairy has visited with over 2,100 lights across the garden. Unfortunately it does also mean 47 batteries to power them all.

We Have the Power

So we bought an off grid solar lighting kit for the log cabin (nicknamed the “50th Shed of Grey” or as Mrs Fogg likes to call it, the “SexShed”).

It’s taken up until now (being a man of leisure now), to find the time to build it all up, so now we have free lighting.

I’m just so super excited

Last Day

All boo’ed out. Yesterday we drove from Key West to Sarasota and today across to Orlando for the flight stopping at a shooting range to have a go with a 9mm hand pistol each, looks like Mrs Fogg (aka QuickDraw McGraw) was the sure shot

6.89 Mile Bridge

Bye Bye Key West, next and final stop is Sarasota, a mere 6.5 hours drive (350 miles). Today Kev has the wheel exiting Key West across 7 mile bridge (which is actually 6.89 miles, but that didn’t sound anywhere near grand enough).
