An eventual up and out to Kennedy Space Centre, all things rockety with the worlds funniest “unintentionally so” bus tour of platform 39a (where most of the shuttles took off and the same 5 stats being told to you over the 45 minute tour), being told “I’ve told you this so I can tell you that”, to “if you follow the powerline down to the tree out of the left window you will see the bald eagles nest” apart from there was miles of powerline and thousands of trees, along with the brilliant “if you look to the right in this small pond we have alligator, they weren’t there earlier, so must have gone for lunch”. But all told a good day with some cracking rockets and the worlds worst simulator, the shuttle that is supposed to make you feel like you are in a take-off, but actually feels like you are sat on a slightly rickety train.
On then up the coast to St. Augustine through torrential rain and an evening at the St. George Inn and a superb surf n turf at OC Whites
