The Wrong Direction

So wandering around beautiful quiet streets we came across a massive crowd (25) of schoolies all screaming outside a tiny hotel for a bunch of nobody boy band “the wrong direction”.

Personally never heard any of their songs, but I’m sure someone must like them.

Happy Anniversary To Us

Well it’s 10 years tomorrow since we tied the knot in St.Lucia. And it’s a Happy Anniversary today for the in-laws, Turfman and Turfgal.

A little of the soppy bit, I have the most amazing, sexy, beautiful and fun wife who sits in the hotel bar thinking of ways to obtain a €7 desert without paying whilst the bartender is outside smoking the wacky backy.

So happy anniversary and here’s to another 10.

And the Winner is

The Italian hot chocolate with cream, which appears to be a bar of chocolate melted in a cup.

Oh and some church where due to budget cuts they never finished the roof

And the scourge of Rome appears to be the immigrants selling “selfie” sticks to plop your smartphone onto. These are more affectionately known as “Nick” sticks, because it’s so easy for a scummy thief to nick your phone when it’s at arms length.

Balls

We found a really funky palace on the way to the forum, complete with a canon ball that was fired at the building hundreds of years ago.

I Am Gladiator

All I need is a big sword and a skirt, scrub that all I need is the skirt.

Welcome to the coliseum.

Blue skies and 20 degrees at the moment.

Ice Cream

A day of walking and food. After spending time at the Vatican its a 4 mile hike back across the city with a stop for pasta and lasagne followed by ice cream at the 150 flavour parlour. This one stood out the most and Mrs Fogg just had to sample some of this…….

Apparently slightly salty

Rome in Allover

So here in Rome at a lovely hotel, and the first stop, food and a fine Chianti (no favva beens though). blooming London prices at €120 (well the wine was €45), ’twas very tasty though.

On then to the Vatican and the Basilica complete with the Swiss guard. And now off to a Christmas market.

Awesome Lights

You can tell it’s Christmas with the awesome display at Manchester Airport, missed them? So did we.

So Mrs Fogg’s super dooper anniversary continues with a weekend break to Rome. How can anyone look so excited in the morning?

Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Oh yes, 26 days till the fat chap arrives and quite simply our favouritist time. Christmas in case you missed it!

Two trees decorated and lit and our house all set for a real Chrimbo. The most interesting aspect being that Mrs Fogg and I didn’t argue once about the lights or decorations (gotta love it when your filly knows her place, gonna get a smack for that)..

The only casualty, Mrs Fogg who didn’t actually appreciate that you need to take your hands out between the rungs on a loft ladder when you drop it down (thank goodness she wasn’t checking out a guillotine).

Only 16 days of work until Christmas, can’t wait.

How Long

If I pretend I sprained my wrist, do I get more wine?
